The ‘Kaleidoscopes of Time’ (2024) series of large abstract monoprints brings together multiple aspects of Russell's work – the bold use of harmonious and contrasting colours; a fascination with shape and pattern, as fluid, organic shapes are contrasted with and contained within hard edged geometric shapes; a desire to keep experimenting with printing techniques and processes; and the fascination with the monoprinting process as new complex shapes and colours emerge as each layer is added.
