Collection: '14 Journeys of York'

Artwork created for the NHS reception area within York Community Stadium to create a relaxing atmosphere within the space. The artworks are presented as colourful abstract landscapes, however all the lines within the landscapes are directly derived from a series of journeys to the Stadium from randomly selected postcodes across York.  My blog post (here) gives further details about the work. The journeys and the lines directly connect the NHS services and the Stadium to the people of York. The work was commissioned by the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and kindly funded by the Friends of York Hospital. The commission is part of a larger project to provide artwork in the NHS areas of the Stadium, with a collection of paintings loaned to the NHS by the Scott Creative Arts Foundation.
